Reference advocacy can also be done leveraging your thought leadership by communicating your experience and expertise in solving for an industry or business challenge through your partnership with Iron Mountain.

A. We recognize that being a reference takes time and energy. To make the effort worthwhile, we’ve designed the Iron Mountain Customer Reference Program to allow you to select the level of participation you want as well as the frequency with which you serve as a reference. You will always be free to add to, increase, or change your level of participation. Whether you are prepared to be heard as a Bronze or Silver Customer Reference, or whether you want to be heard and seen as a Gold Customer Reference, Iron Mountain is ready to invest in helping you achieve your information management thought leadership objectives.
Be Heard & Be Seen As A Gold Customer Reference
Your Commitment: As a Gold Customer Reference, you will participate in phone calls, be referred to in RFPs, be invited to provide a quote and benefit from the public exposure of your thought leadership promoted in the form of a video or written success story.
Your Benefits: You will gain public exposure to promote yourself and your company via social media and possible press / analyst relations opportunities. You will have opportunities to speak at industry events and participate in other marketing opportunities such as webcasts. You will be promoted on Iron Mountain’s website.
What this means for you is you will be at the right place to network with your peers, and have the opportunity to increase your influence with them. You will be seen as a thought leader by your peers and your company, and have access to other leaders in your industry. You will have the opportunity to learn the latest information from your peers and take it back to your organization. Be Heard As A Silver Customer Reference
Your Commitment: As a Silver Customer Reference, you will participate in phone calls, be referred to in RFP responses, and provide a quote that captures your thought leadership and partnership with Iron Mountain to be used as a testimonial with Iron Mountain customers and prospects.
Your Benefits: For your participation, you and your company will be referenced on Iron Mountain’s website and in our social media forums. You and your company will also be able to tap into existing Iron Mountain marketing resources to elevate your company’s knowledge and expertise in managing your information. What that means for you is you will be better prepared for and will have insight into changing laws and regulations, and you’ll learn more about how to address the impacts of those changes on your business. You will discover how other industry leaders are addressing key business changes in other sectors. And you will become an advocate in your company on issues related to information management.
Be Heard As A Bronze Customer Reference
Your Commitment:As a Bronze Customer Reference, you will participate in phone calls and be referred to in RFP responses with Iron Mountain customers and prospects.
Your Benefits:You will be provided with networking opportunities with constituents within and across your industry with whom you can share your experience and expertise as a thought leader. You will
gain valuable insights to current industry trends and challenges through discussions with the network of professionals we put you in touch with.
We understand that acting as a reference takes time and effort. We will give you the option to pick and choose which reference activities you will participate in.
Q. How often would I participate in Customer Reference activities?
A.You determine your level of involvement and tell us how often you would like to participate in the reference activities.
Q. What is the process for being a Customer Reference?
A. It’s easy! The process respects your time commitment and is streamlined with a single, dedicated point of contact: your account manager.
Each time you participate in a reference activity, you will be asked to follow these four steps:
- Your account manager will send you a detailed reference activity request.
- We ask that you respond back within 72 hours with your approval.
- Your account manager will confirm your reference activity with you.
- You conduct the reference activity.
Q. What if I can’t participate in every Customer Reference activity?
A. We understand that acting as a reference takes time and effort. We will give you the option to pick and choose which reference activities you will participate in. Also, if you need to take a break from receiving requests, just let us know and we will put your profile on hiatus. We ask that you submit in writing the reason for the inactive status and the anticipated time needed before returning to the program.
