Risk Management
Information Management
Managing information risk is a difficult challenge for organizations. The increasing costs of litigation, including Discovery and review, Freedom of Information Act requests, plus escalating government and industry-specific regulatory mandates, exposes organizations to rising legal costs, fines and a damaged reputation from the publicity of failures.

Litigation Readiness

Organizations are required to respond to requests for information in a short period of time, whether to support a discovery-related Meet and Confer session or a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.  In order to respond in a timely manner, organizations can rely on Iron Mountain Consulting to help them identify and document key attributes of information most likely to be involved in litigation, audits, investigations, or FOIA requests.

We work with you to prioritize high risk functions, then map records to those functions.  We conduct surveys and interviews with key personnel to identify where the records are located and how they are handled through their lifecycle.  The end product is an “information map” that allows you to respond to time-sensitive requests promptly and with confidence.
