Iron Mountain’s Room 48 named to InfoWorld’s “Green 15” list of innovative green IT projects
InfoWorld magazine selected Iron Mountain’s Room 48 data center as a winner of its “Green 15” award. The “Green 15,” an annual ranking of the most innovative green IT projects, highlighted the energy conservation, cost savings and performance efficiencies of Room 48, citing both its innovative engineering design and the natural cooling advantages found in the Underground.
The Boston Globe names Iron Mountain a Top 10 Massachusetts company
Iron Mountain cracked the Top 10 of The Boston Globe's top performing companies in Massachusetts, up 47 spots from 2009. Iron Mountain finished 10th on the 2010 Globe 100, the newspaper’s annual ranking of how well the state’s publicly-traded businesses increased sales, profits and shareholder returns the previous year. Iron Mountain also saw a rise in rankings in several sub-categories for its industry (technology), overall growth and revenue.

Iron Mountain moves up 37 spots to #644 on the 2010 Fortune 1000 ranking. The Fortune 1000 ranks the nation’s largest companies by revenue.

For the sixth consecutive year, Fortune magazine named Iron Mountain to its list of the World’s Most Admired Companies, the definitive report card on corporate reputation. Iron Mountain ranked second in its industry category of Diversified Outsourcing Services. The industry rankings reflect feedback from executives, directors and analysts who rated Iron Mountain among its industry peers on nine key attributes of reputation, from investment value to quality of management.
2009
InformationWeek ranks Iron Mountain in the top 100 of the most innovative users of technology
For the seventh consecutive year, Iron Mountain was named to the InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the most innovative users of information technology in the country. Iron Mountain placed 55th on the list, moving up 86 spots from its 2008 ranking. The list is unique among corporate rankings because it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders. InformationWeek 500 companies harness technology to improve efficiency, boost productivity, drive revenue and establish a competitive advantage.
Iron Mountain has once again been ranked one of the nation’s most secure companies by Security magazine.
The company climbed four spots from a year ago to finish fourth among other “business services” organizations in the magazine’s annual Security 500 survey. Published in the magazine’s November issue, the Security 500 ranks organizations by comparing their size against their investment in security. Iron Mountain was once again its industry’s sole representative in its category, finishing only behind Ernst & Young, Deloitte & Touche and Brink’s, respectively.
The Boston Globe ranks Iron Mountain among top MA companies
The Boston Globe has again ranked Iron Mountain among the
top performing companies in Massachusetts. Iron Mountain finished 57th
on the Globe 100, the newspaper’s annual ranking of how well the
state’s publicly-traded businesses increased sales, profits and
shareholder returns the previous year. Iron Mountain also distinguished
itself on several sub-lists of the Globe 100, including ranking 3rd on
the list of Top Technology Companies.

Iron Mountain climbs 41 spots to #681 on the 2009 Fortune 1000
ranking. The Fortune 1000 ranks the nation’s largest companies by
revenue.
MassNetComms names Iron Mountain’s Digital Record Center® for Images Product of the Year
The Massachusetts Network Communications Council (MassNetComms)
chose Iron Mountain’s Digital Record Center® for Images as its Product
of the Year in the category of Cloud Computing, Virtualization &
Data Warehousing/Storage. The council’s Product of the Year Award
recognizes new network communications products and services that have
achieved strong sales and customer adoption. Launched in January 2008,
the Digital Record Center for Images securely hosts electronic records
and rounds out a portfolio of document management services that help
organizations to digitize and better access their physical records.

Security magazine recently named Iron Mountain to its
Security 500 survey, an annual ranking of the nation’s most secure
companies. Iron Mountain was its industry’s sole representative in the
category of business services. Published in the magazine’s November
issue, the Security 500 ranks companies using several metrics like the
percentage of a company’s revenue spent on security. The survey tracks
16 vertical markets to serve as a benchmarking tool for companies.

Fortune Names Iron Mountain One of America’s Most Admired Companies for Diversified Outsourcing
Published annually by Fortune, the Most Admired List serves
as the definitive report card on corporate reputation. Executives,
directors and analysts from 622 companies in 65 industries were asked
to rate companies in their own industry on eight criteria—innovation,
people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility,
quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment and
quality of products/services.

ranking. The Fortune 1000 ranks the nation’s largest companies by

The Boston Globe included Iron Mountain in this year’s
Globe 100 rankings of the top performing public companies in
Massachusetts. Iron Mountain ranked 33rd, up from 56th in 2007. The
Globe 100 is an annual listing of the state’s best businesses based on
how well they increased sales, profits and returns for shareholders
during the previous year.
Forbes names Iron Mountain one of America’s 400 Best Big Companies
Iron Mountain has again been selected by Forbes magazine as one of America’s 400 Best Big Companies. Iron Mountain not only passed Forbes’
benchmarks for financial growth rates and returns, but also met its
approval for corporate governance, accounting standards and background
checks.
Hollywood Honors Iron Mountain for Preservation of the Arts
The Hollywood Arts Council recognized Iron Mountain in March for the
Company's work over the last 50 years to preserve motion pictures, song
recordings, TV shows and other priceless cultural artifacts. The
Council honored Iron Mountain's Film & Sound Services group with
its Charlie Award for Preservation Arts. Dubbed the “Charlies,” the
awards recognize individuals and organizations across several artistic
categories for their contributions to Hollywood and its arts community.
Iron Mountain's Film & Sound Services manages more than 15 million
film and sound elements for more than 1,500 customers, including major
motion picture studios, television production companies, recording
studios and advertising agencies.
