How Iron Mountain Offsite Shredding Works

Iron Mountain places secure containers in appropriate locations on your premises. Then, at regularly scheduled intervals, our uniformed specialists arrive at your location and transfer the contents of the containers to secure vehicles and transport the materials to one of our secure shredding facilities.

All of our offsite shredding facilities feature strict ID badge/security procedures, perimeter monitoring, secure exterior fencing, and closed-circuit TV surveillance.

Immediately on arrival, your materials are shredded beyond practicable reconstruction. The materials are then sent to authorized plants for recycling or are incinerated on the premises.
