EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS
WE CONNECT EMPLOYEES AND THEIR DIVERSE EXPERIENCES
At Iron Mountain, an Employee Resource Group (ERG) is defined as an employee-led, Iron Mountain-supported group that voluntarily joins together based on shared life experiences, backgrounds or characteristics. Such groups, which typically represent cultural or minority groups—and allies who support these groups—advance Iron Mountain’s goals, enhance career and personal development, and help create a more diverse and inclusive work environment. All ERGs are open to all employees.
Taking steps toward greater inclusion and allyship.
Our ERGs create a safe, inclusive environment where all employees around the world feel connected, valued, and inspired to build customer value and contribute to our company’s success. ERGs are instrumental to the success of our Inclusion and Diversity efforts.
In 2020, our ERGs came together to launch an Allyship Educational Series. The goal of this program was to help educate employees on what it means to be an ally and why it’s important, and to give employees the tools to stand up and become better allies. ERGs hosted meetings focused on specific allyship topics aligned with their missions, such as:
- How to be an Anti-Racist Ally hosted by Women@IM, BlackColleagues@IM and HOLA@IM
- How to be a Disability Ally hosted by Capable@IM
- How to be an LGBTQ+ Ally hosted by LGTBA@IM
