US Senator Says Privacy Bill Draft Could Come Early Next Year

Read more here.The Califonia Consumer Privacy Act sparked further debate on the need for a federal data privacy law that had the reach and consequence of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). According to Senator Richard Blumenthal (CT, D) that bill might be coming sooner than a lot of people in the privacy industry believed. He has hopes that a draft of a federal data privacy bill would be done “early in the session (next year).”
