The world has a huge e-waste problem. The United Nations estimates that, as a planet, we create 50 million tons of e-waste per year and only recycle 20% of it. The U.N. report puts an annual value of over $62.5 billion on global e-waste — more than the GDP of most countries. Recycling and remarketing end-of-life electronics are beneficial to both organizations and the environment. In addition to lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the assets, remarketing uses up to twenty times less energy than recycling or manufacturing new equipment.
