THE CHALLENGE
Iron Mountain has invested heavily in wind farms and solar power plants, however our colocation customers had no way to stake their own claim in the usage of that green power. The only way to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability was to purchase offsets or renewable energy credits.
THE SOLUTION
Following the new carbon reporting protocol released by the Future of Internet Power (FoIP), Iron Mountain built Green Power Pass, providing customers an annual certificate of attestation and detailed reporting packing allowing them to take credit for the green energy they consume in any of our global data centers.
