Step 2 on your digital transformation journey - Digitise your records
Videos and Webinars
Once you've identified what records you need to keep, it's time to decide what to place in physical storage and what to digitise.
When it comes to digitisation, you have a few options:
- To get on the fast track to transformation, you could digitise your entire backlog at once. But this is not always practical if you don't need to access all your files digitally right off the bat.
- If you don't need regular access to your files, you can consider digitising your records on-demand, which reduces the upfront time and cost.
- Or, you could go with a day-forward digitisation strategy, which allows for scanning, indexing, and conversion of net-new files and incoming paper documents.
Choosing the right option or combination of options will set up your organisation for:
- Secure access to data from anywhere
- Improved collaboration across departments
- Simplified business workflows, and
- Increased productivity
It's true. Not everything needs to be digitised. Start by categorising your files by priority.Your goal is to make important information as accessible as possible in a secure and cost-effective way.
