In its initial publication in 2012, the Law Firm Information Governance Symposium (LFIGS) established a framework for Information Governance (IG) which was fundamental in changing the way law firms viewed and treated their information. The LFIGS IG framework was updated in 2019 to reflect the changes and maturing of the discipline. This year, the Symposium assembled a team to begin thinking about and describing what Data Governance (DG) is through the lens of Information Governance.
