Lack of Interoperability is Still Holding Healthcare Back

Lack of interoperability is still an issue when it comes to the delivery of healthcare. In fact, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) recently filed a report to Congress that found providers and patients are often frustrated with the fact that data isn’t easily shared. Furthermore, the ONC has proposed legislation to penalize data blocking with steep fines.
