Iron Mountain expands footprint in Ireland with a new Digital Transformation Hub

A new Digital Transformation Hub that can process up to 300,000 images a day is officially open in Ireland - reinforcing Iron Mountain’s commitment to Ireland and supporting the nation’s digital transformation ambitions.

Jack Chambers, Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Reform, and Digitalisation, inaugurated the facility at the Aerodrome Business Park, near Dublin - marking a significant milestone in Iron Mountain’s 30-year history in Ireland.

As Ireland prepares for its presidency of the European Union and continues to invest in the National Development Plan, the focus on digital infrastructure across the public and private sectors has never been higher.

Creating up to 80 new jobs, our new Digital Transformation Hub is designed to meet this demand head-on. This investment also demonstrates Iron Mountain’s support for the EU’s wider digitization goals - to have 90% of small and medium-sized enterprises reach at least a "basic level of digital intensity" by 2030, and for 75% of EU companies to adopt advanced technologies by the same year.

At the official opening, Minister Chambers said: "Digital transformation is a cornerstone of Ireland’s economic and social infrastructure. Iron Mountain’s continued investment here highlights the strength of Ireland as a destination for global enterprise and our commitment to building digital-by-default public services that serve all citizens.”
