In the fast-moving world of warehousing and logistics, our customers’ most valuable assets are the inventory on the shelf and the data behind it. Knowing exactly where their products are at any given second is the difference between a seamless supply chain and a costly bottleneck.

In a significant expansion of our partnership with Dexory, the leading provider of real-time warehouse data intelligence, Iron Mountain is the first partner globally to deploy Dexory’s next-generation autonomous warehouse robotics - giving our customers an unparalleled level of stock visibility and process compliance.

Having successfully implemented the DexoryView platform across its strategic warehousing and logistics sites in the UK - including Kettering Symmetry Park, Lutterworth Magna Park North and Rugby Symmetry Park - our latest investment utilises the power of robotics to enhance safety and precision and work alongside our warehouse teams.

By bridging the physical and digital worlds, our investment in this technology ensures that as our customers grow, their inventory management remains future-proof:

  • Inventory accuracy has increased from 97.8% to 99.9%.
  • Stock -related errors have been reduced by 27.35%.
  • 16,100 locations are scanned per hour, providing a full digital twin of Iron Mountain’s facilities.
  • Stock related health is managed in real-time, ensuring products are stored efficiently and safely.

For Iron Mountain, Dexory’s technology further enhances our warehousing and logistics capabilities:

  • Extended reach: an increased scanning range of up to 18 metres (60 feet), up from 12 metres (40 feet) - ensuring visibility across the tallest modern racks.
  • Complex configuration support: enhanced ability to process data in double-deep configurations, block storage, and non-racked environments.
  • Modular architecture: a future-proof design allowing for the seamless integration of features like pick face analysis and temperature monitoring.

Maria Torrent-March, Iron Mountain’s Vice President of Warehousing & Logistics for Europe, says: “Since expanding into third-party logistics (3PL) in 2021, Iron Mountain has proactively adopted agile, tech-forward solutions. Implementing a future-proof, innovative inventory solution is key to our warehousing strategic direction.

Dexory’s technology enables our vision for automation and efficiency. We are particularly excited to be the first to deploy the next-generation robot, reinforcing our position as a customer-centric and innovation-led organisation.
